What is HTML?
HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is the standard text markup language used to create web pages. The result is that HTML is not a programming language. To be more specific, HTML is a language that web browsers such as Chrome, Yandex Browser, Firefox, Opera, Safari read and understand. Browsers read the HTML output and run the website for us.
HTML (rich text markup language) is a scripting language used to create web pages on the internet. HTML files .html or .stored with htm extension. HTML is standardized by W3C.
ASP, ASP.net HTML is the common point of all web projects developed with the software languages that are often used today, such as PHP, Java, Phyton. No matter what software language the Web project is developed with, it is eventually written to the browser as HTML and the browser reads this HTML output.
When you view a web page in your browser, right click > View Page Source and the code that you see is HTML.

History of HTML
Tim Berners-Lee, who was an officer at CERN in 1980, believed that there should be a system for CERN researchers to be able to share their information and documents with each other. That's why he proposed a prototype called ENQUIRE.
By 1989, the first foundations of the internet-based system were laid by the same name, Tim Berners-Lee. He founded the World Wide Web(WWW) system in 1990 after developing the HTML markup language. In this way, the HTML that emerged at CERN with the aim of facilitating information sharing has formed the main foundation of the internet, which is the indispensable element of our lives today.
The first version of HTML was published in 1991. HTML, which will become very capable over time, was very limited features due to the fact that it was the first version when it was 1.0. Therefore, the pages created with this version were quite simple. Titles, lists and paragraphs were indispensable features of this release.
In 1994, HTML 2.0 Zero was published. HTML, which continues to be developed in this version, has gained the fillable form feature that we often use today.
A third version called HTML 3.2 was published in 1997. A system of using private tags was introduced to the scanner and browser incompatibilities continued to occur that day. However, most importantly, CSS came with this version and HTML is now more handsome.
With HTML 4.0, unnecessary code that existed in earlier versions was removed. In terms of syntax, the best standards of HTML have been reached. This is the point where html has now started to enable the proliferation of websites.
With HTML5 standards, HTML has become great. This version, which we are using now, works in harmony with today's technology such as tablets, mobile devices and has more features, has become search engine friendly.
What can be done with HTML?
One of the most curious is to make a website with HTML? a question, it is. Yes, web site construction is possible with HTML. As we mentioned earlier, the web project developed with any software language will eventually be printed to the browser as HTML, so it will be possible to do the web site directly with HTML.
However, what should be known right here is that a site made with HTML will be static rather than dynamic. This means that the admin panel of a web site run only with HTML will not be. To make changes to the Site (add, change or delete text, images, etc.), connect directly to the server.you need to update the html file. As you can see, this is not a process that anyone can do, but rather an unnecessary workload when choosing today's technologies. For this reason, it is necessary to be fully aware of what HTML is. Ideas like buying a theme and making a site don't actually make much sense.
